COMMUNITY ADVOCATE SERVICES
FOR SENIORS

NCD supports Tenants facing an EVICTION by offering Community Advocate Services to prevent homelessness and to stabilize housing and resolve disputes.

There is a one-time fee of $250.00 per eviction occurrence
​

Disclaimer: NCD does not charge for processing rental or utility applications or document submission for state, local, federal, or private companies that may offer assistance to you, even for court diversion programs.

PROGRAM BENEFITS:
1. Prepare and file a Tenant's response to the court for the
eviction notice you received. In some states, the courts have
diversion programs that may be able to help you with
rental assistance funding.
​
2. Mediation services between Landlords and Tenants to
resolve disputes regarding repairs, lease violations, late
payments or executed payment plans. ​
​
​​3. Guidance with funding application forms and required
documents. NCD support is offered for all funding programs.
Please note: Your Landlord must agree to accept rental
assistance payments. The Courts can not force a Landlord to
participate in any funding programs.

4. Offer Caseworker, Tenant, and Landlord support.
​​
5. Housing transitional planning that offers support after a
court hearing in the event your eviction is GRANTED. NCD
community advocates do not make court appearances to
speak on your behalf or argue your case. NCD can, however,
apply to the courts for you to attend the hearing on video, if
allowed. You may request that an Advocate appear for

NCD MESSAGE TO TENANTS: If you are seeking rental assistance or have been diverted to a funding program, we recommend that you SAVE your rent money. When applying for rental assistance benefits, it does not mean you are approved for funding.
